2. General Information on Data Processing
Worth Wearing is an app designed to help you organize your wardrobe, style outfits, and support conscious purchasing decisions. The app uses iCloud to sync your data and optionally an AI Coach service.
3. What data is processed?
3.1 Data on your device (local)
The app stores locally on your device:
- Photos of your clothing items (Camera/Photo Library)
- Metadata about clothing items (name, category, purchase price, times worn, notes)
- Check-ins, goals, progress, and settings
This data remains on your device or in your iCloud account and is not processed directly by us.
3.2 iCloud (Apple CloudKit)
If you have enabled iCloud, your wardrobe data (metadata and photos) is synced to your private iCloud storage. The data is stored exclusively in your Apple iCloud account and is processed by Apple.

3.3 AI Coach (optional)
The app offers an optional AI Coach for outfit suggestions and mindful shopping coaching. If you use this feature, anonymized context data (e.g., wardrobe statistics, categories, no photos) is sent to our backend server to generate personalized texts.
To generate the text, our backend uses the API from Anthropic (Claude), an AI provider based in the US. Only anonymized context data (no photos, no personal data) is transmitted to Anthropic. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy and does not use API inputs to train their models.
More information: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy
- An anonymous user ID is used, which cannot be traced back to an individual.
- Photos and personal data are not transmitted to the AI service.
- The AI feature can be disabled in the settings.
- Data transfer to the US occurs based on Art. 49 (1) (a) GDPR (Consent) or Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR).
Legal Basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (Consent) or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (Performance of a contract).

To purchase Worth Wearing Plus, the app relies exclusively on the system functions of the Apple App Store. During this process, personal data may be processed by Apple, such as:
- Apple ID
- Payment data
- Purchase history
This data is not processed by us, but exclusively by Apple. We do not receive any personal data from Apple, only anonymous technical information indicating whether a purchase was successful.
